Education is the bed rock for development of any nation. In the pre-British era India had a very sound education system which was the envy of most of the world. The Britishers themselves admitted it. A proof of this is provided by Lord TB Macaulay, Law Member of Governor General's Educational Council and President of the General Committee on Public Instructions' speech in the British Parliament on 02 Feb 1835. In his speech, he said:
JBF Industries Ltd, conceived as a private limited company in 1982, attained the corporate status by becoming public limited company in the year 1986. JBF's strength lies in manufacturing, process innovation and in its ability to manage expansions on schedule and in the most cost effective manner. Bringing strategy and a customer centric approach, the choice of location of each plant has enabled JBF to cut costs while providing customers with excellent service.

He loves challenges and always tries to invoke some innovations while discharging his responsibilities. Jalaj Shrivastava, Commissioner, Trade and Taxes of Delhi Govt., is charged up to bring innovations in the tax department. As the MD of DSIDC earlier he had started the construction of low cost houses in the industrial estates. This 1984 batch IAS officer of UT cadre had been instrumental in introducing telemarketing and establishment of call centres to reach out to liquor consumers holding credit cards. Though it's been only three months since he has joined the Department of Trade and Taxes as a Commissioner, he is confident of bringing positive changes in the department.
