The UTS’ VOICE is not merely a fortnightly news magazine that covers the affairs of all Union Territories of India for regional circulation only. Rather, it’s a unique and noble concept. It is a concept that highlights and brings the achievements and agonies of comparatively low profile Union Territories to mainland and vice-versa with equal zeal and vigour. It is a concept that seriously attempts to build a bridge between the mainland and the Union Territories situated in far-flung locations.
We all know that our Union Territories, particularly Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, are not easily approachable. One has to cross many hurdles to reach these far-flung areas. So, quite often affairs of these territories fail to hog the national limelight. The UTS’ VOICE is the first news magazine which understood these hazards and tried to put these areas in the right perspective.
Started from Daman in 2004, the UTS’ VOICE has now reached to national capital with an aim to build a platform where Union Territories and major states of the country can voice their opinions and share their experiences in the process of national-building. In this endeavour, a considerable success has been achieved.
The magazine, with its attractive lay-out and print style, covers a wide spectrum of topics—political, social, economical and cultural—of all the Union Territories as well as major states of the country in order to strengthen national integrity.
